Alpha Delta Pi's international philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House. RMH provides a "home away from home" for families with seriously ill children while they receive treatment at nearby hospitals. Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has contributed over $2 million to this worthwhile effort. As part of our contribution to the organization, members of Psi Chapter drive into San Francisco to cook meals for the local Ronald McDonald House each month. We love the opportunity to interact with the families we serve!
In addition to these visits, Psi Chapter hosts numerous events throughout the year to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation. During the fall semester, we put on an all-day soccer tournament called Diamond Cup, in which fellow Cal Greeks chapters donate money to create teams. In 2015, 16 fraternities and 4 sororities participated in the event, which raised over $3,300 for RMH. This spring, we held our fifth annual pizza fundraiser, ADPi Pizza Pie. Local pizza restaurants including Artichoke Basille’s, California Pizza Kitchen, Seniore’s, Tivoli's, West Coast donated pizza and Naked Juice donated drinks which were offered to guests who attended our event. Almost 500 students and community members donated $5 for two slices of pizza and a drink, helping us to raise over $2,000 for RMH.
